Convergence MUSH makes no claim to any content which may appear in roleplay, and respects the intellectual property rights of all creators. This MUSH represents only the interests of fans, storywriters, and roleplayers, and makes no profit.

By joining Convergence MUSH, players assert they are of legal age to be potentially exposed to mature subjects. As we do not collect personal information from players, age verification is impossible, but staff reserves the right to remove players who are obviously underage.

Convergence MUSH accepts no responsibility for the actions of players. Staff will make a good faith effort to keep the peace and arbitrate as needed, however.

Rules

• Staff decisions are to be followed in good faith. Any disputes with staff are to be conducted privately and maturely. You are a guest here, not a paying customer.
• Convergence MUSH has extended you hospitality. Be a good guest in turn, dont wear out your welcome.
• Keep IC and OOC matters duly separated. A characters actions are not the players actions. A characters actions should primarily be from their role and personality, not a vehicle of their players desires. Without this separation, it opens the door to a whole host of conflicts, problems, and questions.
• Treat everyone respectfully. No harassment, witch hunting, sexism, racism, hate speech, bigotry, etc. Such might be a feature of various characters (in which case, the above rule must be observed even more carefully, and forewarnings are good form) for artistic, narrative or historical reasons, but OOC instances will be dealt with appropriately.
• Avoid sowing division. There are many topics, such as politics, religious beliefs, and various real-world conflicts that are hot-button issues and may trigger volatile reactions from players. Our gaming community is not an appropriate forum for debating such. If such even have to be mentioned, be respectful and brief about it.
• Nothing illegal or obscene. Don't bring illegal materials or activities to the game. We want nothing to do with anything that could get us in legal hot water. We also don't want anything showing up in chats that would be odious, obnoxious, or shocking to players.
• Do not hack. Attempting to bypass security for any of the games resources / hack the game / etc, is a major no-no.
• All rules are subject to common sense. Nobody likes rules-lawyering. No set of rules can be written iron-clad and free of loopholes. Deliberately seeking out such can be treated as against the rules.
• Violations and potential punishments will be handled case-by-case. Examples may include warnings, consultation and meditation, censure, restrictions (such as being forbidden from interacting with another player, playing a certain character or one with certain powers/abilities), and temporary or permanent removal from the game.
